All of the music on this CD was composed for the Church. The Gabrieli “Canzonas” were written in the late 1500’s along with Samuel Sheidt’s “Centone” which was composed for the Protestant Reformation. The J.S. Bach selections, along with most of his works, were written in the early 1600’s to the “Glory of God”. With the exception of “In This Very Room” written in 1979, the hymns on this CD are from the 1800’s.
