Item Details

This is a nice condition used Bach Stradivarius model 16 dual bore tenor trombone, made in Mt. Vernon, New York.  The serial number dates production to about 1958.

This trombone's hand slide outer tubes are gold brass and have been modified with removal of the nickel oversleeves for lighter weight and less inertia.  This is a very fast and silent hand slide.  Chrome is 100%.  Bright areas from the modification have been relacquered.

The bell has tarnish at the rim, plus some wear to the lacquer and marks from use.  The neckpipe is not lacquered.

Includes a Bach hard case.

Previously owned by Los Angeles commercial trombonist Dave Ryan, this Bach trombone can be heard on Spider Man 3: The Journey Home, and with the Frank Sinatra Jr. Orchestra.  He bought it from The Horn Guys some years ago.
