Protec PL239 Platinum Series Tenor Trombone Gig Bag

$171.00 $199.00

Item Details

This is a new gig bag for tenor trombone made by Protec.  As part of their Platinum Series, it's their top of the line offering, and is the best case they can make. We like the very firm foam, modular interior, and zippers to access and replace any worn foam years down the road  The interior fabric is a bit thin and may stretch or pill with time, but it's used as a good attachment for the movable foam blocks.  Use care moving the blocks and this should be a very long lasting and durable case.  The exterior fabric, ballistic nylon, is outstanding and looks ot be as durable as anything else made today.

Protec's photos show the slide sleeve located towards the front of the case and the bell section placed so the neckpipe is down.  Our cases arrived with the sleeve at the back of the case, but it's easily moved if you prefer it in one or the other positions.  We tend to insert the bell with the neckpipe/connector/rotor facing up towards the opening, but it's also fine either way.  Do experiment for yourself to see which positions allow the safest and most comfortable fit for your horn.
