LaLande spent 45 years as composer, director and performer in the courts of Louis XIV and XV of France. His early use of the then somewhat primitive trumpet is most interesting, and the works have great charm and energy. The antiphonal nature of two of the movements utilizing echo effects between the brass and woodwind sections of the band lends special interest to this composition.

A collection of music by legacy publisher, Wimbledon-Trigram, one piece for band in less than 20 which exist.  Add this to your collection of concert band music to prepare for SCSBOA or other upcoming band competitions.
