Solo for C or B-flat trumpet with piano accompaniment, composed by Henri Tomasi (1901-1971).
Henri Tomasi (born Marseilles, August 1901, died Paris, January 1971) entered the Paris Conservatoire at the age of 16. In 1927 he was awarded a First Prize for conducting and the Grand Prix de Rome. His many works show a preference for the theatre and, in the field of instrumental music, for wind instruments.
Published by Alphonse Leduc (AH.AL21810).
"This piece is divided into three parts of approximately 2 pages each: 1. Scherzo, 2. Largo and 3. Saltarelle. The Saltarelle part includes the use of the sourdine and has numerous accidental alterations. With a high level of difficulty, this piece is ideal for contests and recitals."
