Vintage Buescher double bell euphonium. Finish is matte silver plate with gloss accents, with gold wash inside the small bell. Both bells feature ornate engraving. The fifth piston is operated by the left hand and directs the sound to either the large or small bell for some comedic effect.
This instrument has been cleaned, tuned, and restored to spectacular condition. Everything works just fine. Includes hard case, lyre, and Miraphone medium Euro shank mouthpiece.
The original low pitch tuning slide has been shortened and it plays at modern A440 pitch now. I checked with a tuner and the pitch overall is very good, especially considering the age of the instrument.
