This is a padded leather or Cordura nylon case for tenor trombone with F-attachment.
This stunning lightweight Cronkhite case is made in Minneapolis from the most beautiful leather one could ever find. The dark brown of the featured case with slight color variations is simply gorgeous. The leather is thick and stiff and the underlying foam is the firmest available. Wooden reinforcements are sewn into the bell end and slide sleeve to protect your instrument by diffusing impacts. This is the design of master case maker Glenn Cronkhite, now refined for the next generation.
The photos show a Bach 42BOF tenor trombone. The hand slide is inserted so the slide connector and slide-sleeve-strap are toward the large end of the case. The wood side of the slide sleeve faces out. The foam pad is aligned to protect the slide from the trigger paddle. The padded accessory pouch can reside near the F-attachment or near the bell flare.
Fixed double shoulder straps are made from seatbelt-strength webbing. Hardware is mostly metal, in black and gold plated. Interior is black velour.
Fits most tenor trombones with F-attachment including open wrap and axial rotors, up to 9" bell. Longest hand slide is Bach 42. Examples:
