This is a version of the Kuhnl & Hoyer Bart Van Lier 500 tenor trombone with matte lacquer finish. The difference from the standard version is subtle. The outside of the bell section and tuning slide is matte lacquer and has no reflections, as if it's drawn like a cartoon. The inside of the bell flare is gloss gold lacquer, and the hand slide is gloss clear lacquer. This finish option can be had on any K&H trombone, adding about $100.
