Verne Reynolds was a virtuoso horn player, educator and composer. Apparently he expected virtuoso playing by his students, based on the difficulty of his etudes. This is the single hardest etude book for french horn. It is intended for professionals who don't find standard etude books challenging anymore. The first 24 studies go through all the different intervals from 1/2 step to octave in both legato and staccato.
