Deux Danses for Bass Trombone and Piano by Jean-Michel Defaye, pub. Leduc Hal Leonard

$28.60

Item Details

Adapted from the tenor trombone by Donald Knaub.

Duration 8 minutes. Published by Alphonse Leduc (AL25465).

This work was "...composed in 1950. "Danse Sacree" is a slow, rubato melody that turns into a forward moving gesture becoming a theme and variations of sort until the first powerful cadenza. The first movement ends with the beautiful lyrical melody as it opened. "Danse Profane" is based on a samba beat for a flashy ending."
