1: 17.50 mm diameter, medium thin rim, deeper flugelhorn style cup with flugel shank, larger throat and backbore. Produces a great volume of tone.
1C: 17.00 mm cup diameter, deeper flugelhorn style cup, medium wide rim, with flugel shank, and larger throat and backbore. Good for all-around use.
1 1/4C: 17.00 mm diameter, deeper flugelhorn style cup, with flugel shank, and larger throat and backbore. Compact tone of great carrying power.
1 1/2C: 17.00 mm diameter, deeper flugelhorn style cup, with flugel shank, and larger throat and backbore. Not too sharp. Good for all-around use.
3C: 16.30 mm diameter, medium wide rim, with flugel shank, deeper flugelhorn style cup, and larger throat and backbore. Good for all-around use.
5B: 16.25 mm diameter, medium wide rim, lowered toward the outside, medium sharp edge, precise rim. With flugel shank, deeper flugelhorn style cup, and larger throat and backbore. Full and vivid tone.
5C: 16.25 mm diameter, medium wide rim, well rounded towards the inside and outside. With flugel shank, deeper flugelhorn style cup, and larger throat and backbore. For players with a strong embouchure who do not like a sharp edge. The tone is lively and rich.
SMALL Morse taper
The so-called "Bach Taper." Bach, Courtois, newer Couesnon, Kanstul 1525 and some European flugelhorns use SMALL Morse taper.
