Made in Elkhorn, Wisconsin USA, this is Getzen's premier small bore trombone, It's based on the best designs from the Getzen Pro Shop, but sells at a more favorable price. It features a .500"/.508" dual bore slide in lightweight nickel, 3 interchangeable leadpipes, and a 7.75" bell. There are two bell choices for this trombone. The bell is hand spun and is 2-piece, 23 gauge design with a soldered bell rim. The bell can be had in either yellow or red brass. You'll find the yellow brass has a bit more projection, and the red brass has a broader, warmer sound, but less power. This horn now includes an excellent Griego Custom CS7 mouthpiece. Includes counterweight, lightweight fiberglass case, and Platinum lifetime warranty.This is our only small bore trombone also offerred in red brass, and it is quite distinctive. The 3 leadpipes make a significant change in the response of the instrument, making it easy to tailor to your playing style. The red brass sound is warmer than the yellow brass versions, but the horn is still light enough to respond quickly and project well. An interesting detail is that bell section is made entirely of brass, without nickel trim as on the hand slide.
