Custom professional trumpet hand made by Roy Lawler in , TN.
Modeled after the vintage Martin Committee, but made with a
Bach-style straight .460" bore. Pistons and bell are made by
Getzen; the rest of the parts are made by Roy himself. The
bell is a 2-piece style, made on a Martin-style mandrel in gold
brass. This horn is made for the commercial player who wants a
slightly warmer sound than the big band lead player might need.
It's a very unique look. simple ferrules without beauty marks,
straight braces between bell and lead pipe, custom receiver,
adjustable first and third slides, signature finger hook.
Leadpipe is gold brass and finger buttons are pearl. A local
working pro had this custom made for him, but during his wait for
the trumpet he fell in love with another model, and couldn't keep
both. This horn has about a week of light use on it.
Very distinctive horn with a hand made look. It's not as
cleanly finished as you might see from Yamaha, but this horn has
character, and is a popular jobbing horn, though rarely seen out

Professional Yamaha trumpet, the popular YTR-8310Z Bobby Shew model. A
terrific trumpet for all around work. Terrific intonation, sound and
construction makes this model one of our most popular instruments in
the shop. This used trumpet belonged to a local professional here in
Los Angeles. He has recently made the switch back to Bach trumpets
so this rare horn is for sale. Bobby Shew gets a small select batch
of these trumpets from Yamaha for him to tweak to play exactly like
his own personal 8310Z. This is one of those special horns and
includes a signed certificate to show that this horn was tuned up by
Bobby prior to sale. It is in excellent shape with the exception of
some minor lacquer wear around the valve cluster. No case included.

We got a great deal on some special Besson trumpets made by Kanstul in
Los Angeles. The model 709 is a medium large .460" bore with
Monel pistons, first and third slide triggers, finished in lacquered
brass with nickel trim. It has a two-piece hand hammered, hand
spun, small taper bell, and is designed to be easy to play for the
young student. This is really a step-up quality horn, and
should last any player through high school and beyond. It
features the same valve set as the new professional model Kanstul
1537 trumpet. Includes SKB hard case, Kanstul 7C mouthpiece,

New Charlie Davis signature model is a specially modified version of
the popular Bach-style Kanstul 1537. Traditional specs on a
securely slotting horn: 25 pipe, 37 one-piece bell, .460" ML

help from Charlie Davis, who's very happy with how the horn turned

The YTR-9335NYS was designed for the professional trumpet player that
needs a high quality instrument that will respond well in any
situation or playing style. This is Yamaha's top of the line
Bb and is assembled by hand at their custom brass/ pro shop
facility. The New York trumpet was born of a collaboration between
brass expert and trumpet alchemist, Bob Malone and Cleveland
Orchestra trumpeter Robert Sullivan. The bell flare has a
French bead bell rim with a low dome wire, improving the sound
projection from the bell. Yes, it works. It also features a MC2NY
leadpipe, based on Malone's classic leadpipe designs while he was
building trumpets here in Los Angeles.

This new C trumpet is designed by Byron Autry and Doc Severinsen, and
was formerly to be marketed as the Severinsen Destino C trumpet.
Apparently the Destino line will no longer be marketed, but this
horn is now available as a Kanstul model. It has a 239 style
bell, .462" valves, a reverse tuning slide with the Bob Malone style
over/under sleeve, a harmonic balancer on the first slide, and a
special leadpipe and receiver, fitted by Byron Autry himself (as if
Kanstul doesn't know what they're doing, ha). One-piece hand
hammered, hand spun bell. This is a C trumpet that will
immediately feel familiar to the Bb player, with a wider, mellow,
open feel with plenty of projection. I think it will become

This is an incredible Eb trumpet. Notice it's Eb/E, not Eb/D.
Cool. It has this huge sound that's so big, it sounds like a C
trumpet. It has adjustable bell tuning, and no tuning slide at
the leadpipe for a superior perfectly tapered pipe into the valves.
The four piston valves make the low notes available and in tune, and
the E side, which includes a second bell and set of crooks, makes it
versatile for the occasional solo in the odd key. This reminds
us of the Wallace/Voigt Eb, except this one has the sleeker
no-tuning leadpipe. If you need an Eb for the effortless high
range but want a big sound like a C, this is the trumpet.

Republic, yellow brass construction, nickel trim, comes with
hard case. Bell has nickel silver rim garland. This horn has a small
shank trombone mouthpiece receiver and works well with 11C sized
pieces and smaller. It does include a trumpet sized mouthpiece with
a slightly larger shank. Plays very well and even in the
registers and is a blast to play. A very rare instrument,

players have been asking us to stock a few rotary C trumpets.
Some friends in Europe recommended these fine professional rotary C trumpets to
us. We were
impressed! Votruba trumpets are stock with gold brass bell construction with nickel trim and
third slide trigger. 3 weights of bell thickness are offered,
but we usually order medium weight bells.
They are built around the newly designed Meinlschmidt professional
rotary valves which gives a free open blow and precise action. One piece bell w/o kranz, mini-ball linkages. Intonation is spot on.
Each trumpet is handmade in
Vienna, Austria by Thomas Votruba. We recommend a Florian Schantl rotary trumpet mouthpiece to go
with this trumpet. Raw brass, lacquer, silver plated or gold plated options available.

The Challenger I flugel is a terrific professional instrument. It
is comfortable to hold, the workmanship is top notch and it is an
excellent player. The blow is consistent and in tune and the sound
is classic flugel . This model has a one piece hand hammered

and monel pistons. This is a smaller flugel, similar to the French
Bessons, rather than the Kanstul 1525 and other Couesnon style
